SmartCo to hold job fair

SmartCo Foods will hold a job fair from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday to look for employees for its Longmont store, 1750 Main St., which is scheduled to open in July.

The company anticipates hiring 100 full- and part-time employees to staff the Longmont store. Representatives will interview the first 500 people at the job fair, and additional candidates are welcome to submit applications, although they will not be interviewed on-site. (The one for Denver area stores said expect to be waiting up to 4 hours)

The company will be filling positions across all levels of expertise, including clerks and cashiers, service managers, department managers and store support personnel. Previous grocery experience is not a requirement to be considered for employment.

The job fair will be held at the Radisson Conference Center, 1850 Industrial Circle in Longmont.

The Longmont SmartCo Foods is one of five stores California-based Smart & Final is opening in the Denver metro area this summer.

So what does anyone think about SmartCo now?
Seems to me that some things on sale are cheaper but a lot of the items are higher than the other stores.

I noticed that King Soopers has specials that they advertise in the 2 stores closest to SmartCo in the paper.
