4WD Trail to Jet crash...

I have heard there are remains from a Jet crash back in 1977 up above Estes Park, you can only access them by 4WD.

Has anyone been up there or know the name or location of the trail?

Sounds like it would be an interesting afternoon ride in the Jeep!

You wanted a plane crash location, I just thought I'd make sure you had a few to choose from. ;)

Interesting reading on the NTSB Final Reports...

A surprising amount of Alcohol and drug related crashes.

"Hey Fred, Let's get wasted and take my plane for a ride... Great Idea!"

I thought all crashes were removed fro NTSB to investigate.

Apparently this crash happened in 1977 and was too deep in the mountains for them to remove the debris form the plane.

I have seen pictures of Jet engines and part of the fuselage but cannot seem to find them or anything on the location
now that I want to spin up there for the day!

ATV migh get you closer than the jeep, but if they could not haul out the wreckage what makes you think you can jeep there?

I admire your effort though :D
