Dead Car

Postby meredith42 » Sat May 29, 2010 10:33 am

I was turning onto a side road today from Highway 52 and my car died- still working on getting it towed. I tried calling Frederick Police Dept. to tell them what happened but there is a recording and I couldn't get through to a live person. How long can I leave it before I get a ticket or they tow me? Anyone know?

Dont't tow ot more than 1/4 mile if automatic transmission.

What simptons ? lack of power starving for fuel? hestation bucking ? did the Check Engien light come on when it was running? Is it newer than 1996?

Police usally don;t tow for a couple days.
